Chapter 4 - Desecration of the Elbesem Sanctuary
|
Elbesem Village
The inhabitants of Elbesem village are suspicious about Prince Medion's arrival and think that the Empire is somehow involved with the Bulzome invaders, therefore the village chief doesn't trust them. Despite the lack of help from the village, Medion's army still decide to go to the temple of Elbesem on their own, after gathering some information about the explosion there first.

Before the battle, Donhort will ask you what he should do, distract the Bulzome forces or rescue the villagers. Send him to distract the Bulzome force and send a few characters with him for support.
Rush Medion to the villagers as soons as possible, if you save them you get 10 experience points for each villager you save. In this battle you control the villagers and Hera so send them to meet up with Medion in the middle of the map. Move them at maximum speed and check their movement ranges, by placing the cursor (B button) over them, so that you can move them to the best spaces without interfering with each others. Use Hera to block the path of the Bulzome Knight that chases them, using her heal spell when necessary. Keep the villagers out of the knights' range and when Medion's force can attack attack the knights, do so! The Bulzome Knights that come from the mountain mean that you have to move the villagers close to the lake so that they can't ambush them. Medion himself will attract some of the attention so use him to distract the knights from killing the villagers (so long as he isn't killing himself). The most important villager to save, if you want to get Robby, is the man carrying the 'Robby Eye'. You can get a Power Wine after the battle also, if the old man is saved, but you won't get it if the theif lives too; so the choice is between an extra 10 experience at the end of the battle or the Power Wine.
End of Battle
With the Bulzome monks defeated, the force resolves to go into the temple and stop the remaining Bulzome forces, and to save Gracia. Before that, you may return to Elbesem village to rest up and restock. If you want to get Robbie, then you must go back again into Elbesem village, no difference is made to the next battle whether you do or don't return. If Hera was kept alive during the battle, she will now officially join Medion's force.

Elbesem Village Revisited
To get the Robbie eye, talk to the young man in the house next to the church and answer 'yes' to his quesion; Medion will recieve the Robbie eye from him. Next, you'll need the ruins map; go to the village chief's house and he will ask you to awaken Robbie, say 'yes' and he will let you take the ruins map from the treasure chest in his house. If the thief died and the old man lived, you can talk to the old man and he will give you the Power Wine.

The 6 columns in this battle activate at the beginning of each turn and will atack both you and the enemy if you are inside their range. They have four different formations of which columns are active and they change every turn. While the pattern is pretty random it follows your force somewhat, so if you at the side of the map where most of the enemy is, the columns at the other side of the map don't turn on.
The first two columns will use Spark 1, the middle two will use either Spark 2 or 3 and the last two columns will use Spark 4, although their is actually little to no difference in their power. Position your force in safe positions each turn, the columns won't assume the same formation two times in a row, so you know which spots are safe for the next turn. Before you make your move on the Bulzome enemies, inspect the tomb first and send in your raiding party (you'll need Zero for this tomb so make sure you have him), if you have the 'Robbie Eye' you can wake Robbie up, but don't give it to Zero as he'll be needed elswhere in the tomb. Don't leave Medion out all on his own, as two Assassins and two Hell Hounds will come out of the ruins and ambush you.
Thief Map #4
Don't charge head first into the final block of Bulzome monks as there are a lot of them and they're quite powerful. Draw the magicians and knights out first then, when there are less of them, make a strike on the boss.
End of Battle
After the Bulzome force in the temple entrance are expunged, the columns deactivate and Medion's force enter the temple where they meet with Basanda and Dessheren.

The first part of this battle is simple, kill the few enemies in you way and leave Basanda and Dessheren to the Rainbloods. While they're fighting, cast freeze (or use a freeze orb) on the two blocks of water to the north of the steps to freeze it so you can get to the steps and go to Map B. After a turn the water will break so try to get everyone across in one go. If you used the freeze orb picked up from this battle, once the ice cracks a new freeze orb will appear. Don't attack the Rainbloods because if you do then they will attack back, otherwise they stay neutral to Medion's force.
The second part of the battle is simple and straightforward too. Don't worry about Gracia as Fiale can't do any permanent damage to him, just kill the forces of Bulzome dotted around the map. Before attacking the boss, send some characters to kill the Mask Monks who use magic so they don't pester you when trying to kill their leader.
End of Battle
Although Fiale's army is defeated; the Rainbloods appear, certain to kill them all. But Gracia removes the seal on the Staff of Besem and the holy power released knocks down Fiale and the Rainbloods. General Rogan appears and Medion, his army, and Gracia escape the temple to board the Seagate, with Fiale as their prisoner.

Once you're done exploring the Seagate, go down to the brig and go to Fiale's cell. Fiale awakens and escapes from his cell. It also seems that General Crewart and his ship, the executor, are pursuing the Seagate and are ready to attack. Prepare your force and go to the deck, if you want Julian to carry some valuable items over to scenario 3 then give them to him now. Unfortunately, unlike in scenario 1 they won't appear in your HQ again once he's left, so no duplicating items this time round.
Battle #19 - The Seagate and the Executor
Enemies | HP | MP | ATK | DEF | AGL | LCK | SPD | EQUIPPED | MAGIC | SPECIALS | ITEM | GOLD |
Crewart Soldier x 4 | 40 | 0 | 40 | 27 | 17 | 2 | 6 | Heavy Halberd | - | - | Medical Herb | 460 |

Arrawnt | ??? | 0 | 12 | 16 | 26 | 9 | 6 | Iron Blade | - | - | - | - |
To win this battle you must destroy the cannons of The Executor, but the battle will also end if all the cannons on The Seagate are destroyed. If either of the ships lose all their cannons, the battle will end and the next battle will begin. To destroy The Executor's weapons, stand one of your force infront of a cannon and use it, if the cannon is out of range though you cannot use fire it. At the end of each turn The Seagate loses speed until all of its (and The Executor's) cannons are able to fire. You must hit a cannon 4 times to destroy it and its operator (the Crewart Soldiers have 40 HP and each hit does 10 damage). The Executor's cannon will also fire at The Seagate's deck so don't bunch your characters up as they will all suffer 10 damage if they're in the explosion area (unless the cannon-ball hits someone directly, then that character will take 20 damage). Don't put Medion at one of the cannons because if it is destroyed, he will die and you will lose. If you want to make things a little easier on the next battle, keep whoever has the Elbesem Orb alive. Medion's force gets 10 experience at the end of the battle for each cannon on The Seagate that is kept intact.
End of Battle
If all of the cannons on The Executor or The Seagate were destroyed, Arrawnt orders Crewart's troops to board the Seagate, and so a battle between Crewart's army and Medion's force ensues.

The Elbesem Orb will help for this battle so make sure whoever has it lives long enough to use it on the boss. Kill the invading troops swiftly and be mindful that once you board The Executor, 2 more Mercenaries and 2 more Crewart Soldiers will appear, so don't charge anyone off on their own. Be careful getting your soldiers to Arrawnt and Crewart as the pathways are very narrow and restrictive, so send your strongest characters first and follow them up with the weaker ones. Once the Mask Monk reveals itself, use the Elbesem orb on him (though it's not necessary) and then attack with everything you have.
End of Battle
The Mask Monk reveals that Honesty is in the ship's cell and so Medion and Rogan go to release her. However, as things transpire, Fiale was just disguised as Honesty and Rogan is locked in the cell... With the damage done to The Executor, it will sink soon and Rogan will drown with it. Fiale runs away to Flagard with the ship's key and Medion permits Zero to chase him and try to get the key.
Another ship of the Empire arrives, The Flagship, and Bresby informs Medion that the capital, Destonia, is in danger from a mysterious flying object which Gracia reveals to be the Walcuray. Unfortunately, as Medion needs to head to Saraband, he cannot solve the problems in Destonia. Gracia, Julian, Donhort and Edmund (if Stella was killed) volunteer to go with Bresby to Destonia and to solve the crisis. Medion permits this and the two forces depart...
Chapter Summary
After the Rainbloods too tried to capture Gracia and the Besem Staff, the Medion army barely managed to rescue them. With the help of General Rogan and The Seagate, they escaped onto the ocean.
Pursued by General Crewart’s ship, the Executor, they managed to gain victory, but with the price of General Rogan being put into dire danger by the Bulzome priest Fiale.
The Medion army then headed for Saraband to find the Emperor. However, after having sent out Julian and the others to deal with the plea for help from the Imperial capital, their force was depleted...
