Chapter 1 - Recapturing the Imperial Capital

Opening
Having recently left Medion's army, Julian and his force are heading towards Destonia at Bresby's request, to stop the Walcuray from damaging the capital. However, The Flagship, captained by Domino, soon finds itself under attack by Bulzome monks. If you are continuing from a savefile from scenario 2, then Julian and Donhort's starting stats and equipment will be the same as they were when they left Medion's force. Otherwise, their starting stats (along with Gracia's and Kate's) are as follows:

An easy battle to introduce scenario 3, lure the Mask Monks away from the Pegasus Mask Monks if you can so you don't have a handful of monks to fight in one go. Remember to keep both Julian and Gracia safe as losing either of them will cause you to lose the battle.

The attackers are defeated and The Flagship can enjoy the rest of its voyage to Destonia in peace.

When you leave the HQ room, Julian's force go back up to the deck again and chapter 1 starts properly. The force now arrive at the docks of Destonia Harbour where they leave The Flagship and starts their journey towards Destonia Castle. However, even here the Bulzome sect lie in their path...

Another fairly simple battle; lure the Mask Monks and Hunter Elves away from the boss and take them on seperately. Don't group your characters together as they will be vunerable to the boss' multi-target spark spell.

Julian's force defeat the froup of Mask Monks who reveal Goriate's involvement in the Bulzome attacks on Destonia. This makes their journey all the more urgent and Julian presses on into Destonia Harbour Town.

Go to the church where you will meet Scholar and Cyclops, and during the conversation Isabella and Brigit appear. If you have Edmund with you then only Brigit will join at this stage and Isabella will join later in chapter 3. If you don't have Edmund, then they will both join the force.

The Walcuray attacks at the beginning of each turn and will hit anyone within the 2 square-wide range it has. You can position your force behind the rocks or in the holes in the ground to avoid the attacks. If The Walcuray cannot target one of your force, it will still attack and occaisionally destroy one of the rocks, limiting where you can hide your force. If you released the Destonian Soldiers from the factory, they will will take the brunt of Walcuray's attacks for the first two turns (they usually die then) and are nothing more than cannon fodder. Also, if you released them, then there will be an extra Mask Monk magician in the battle. Move your force forward, while keeping safe and kill the Buzlome followers along your way. If you can afford to, send Donhort and Brigit (or anyone else suitable) into the ruins through the hole in the rocks on the eastern side. While they are in the ruins, hide the rest of the force in the holes in the ground.

The Bulzome force is defeated but the Walcuray moves toward the castle and Julian must pursue it there. But waiting for them is a formidable foe...

After you reach the first inlets in the in the walls, Walcuray will start attacking at the beginning of each turn. Once Walcuray has first used its attack, the blasted terrain slows your force down so your slower characters will have difficulties progressing without being hit. The only way to defeat Walcuray is by casting Gracia's Shining spell on the magical wand, but doing this will drain all of Gracia's MP and if he is your only healer (i.e. you don't have Isabella) then taking on Goriate will be difficult. Kill all of the Bulzome troops before attacking Goriate so you can concentrate your entire force on him and overpower him.
End of Battle
With Goriate's defeat, The Walcuray leaves Destonia Castle and Jane appears. She asks Julian to spare Goriate and let her leave with him. If you answer 'yes' to Bresby's question then later, when Jane next appears, she will give Rollie to Julian's force. If you answer 'no' however, you will not get Rollie. No matter what your answer, Jane leaves with Goriate anyway (cheeky).
Chapter Summary
The journey the Julian army undertook at Prince Medion’s request succeeded in them landing near the Imperial capital city. After meeting with the Priest Scholar they headed to Destonia Castle, where a crisis of invasion was approaching.
Prince Mageron refused to surrender to the priest Goriate who was controlling the floating weapon Walcuray, and it was due to the brave actions of the Julian army which resulted in the rescue of Destonia Castle.
However Mageron and the other Imperials ignored the debt owed by the rescuing of their country and drove the Julian army away from Destonia Castle. However, it looked like all may not be what it seemed.
