Horst - Tactics
General Tactics
Horst is Obright Mk. 2, a much weaker clone of the original Obright and much blander looking. He joins later in the game and thus has less of a chance to develop friendship levels with the other characters and is another slow character. If you have to choose between Obright and Horst to keep in your team Obright is far superior as a warrior so drop Horst. Horst is quite useful at first however if you give him the Revenge Mace attainable from battle #17 in chapter 4, although the same weapon could just as easily be given to Obright.
Magic and Magic Resistance
Horst has no magic and pitiful magic resistance therefore wizards can catch him off guard and massacre him with magical attacks, so be careful.
Weapons and Equipment
Maces are Horst's starting weapons and if Obright's using the axe keep Horst with the maces as well as training him up with the hand axes too.
Horst's agility can be increased with a Gale Ring but if you prefer to keep him slow and increase his ability to bash enemies then he's another candidate for the Apollo Pin (if you have the patience to get one).
