Welcome to jumesyn's magic guide. Here you can find information on all the spells in the game as well as data on each magic wielding character's strength with the different elements of magic.

Character Proficiency

In addition to the basic magic power (see individual magic spell stats below) each character in the game is proficient in different types of magic and therefore have varying basic character magic power in each of the elements as shown by the table below.

Note: The three numbers represent the number added to a spell's power in each class the character can be promoted to. For example, Syntesis gets a bonus of +2 in her Magician class, +5 in her Wizard class and +12 in her High Wizard class for her fire magic.

Magic Spells

Listed here are all the magic spells from all three scenarios of Shining Force III and their properties. Those spells with their text in blue are only available in scenarios 2 and 3, while those with their text in purple are available only in scenario 3. The rest of the spells are available in all three scenarios.



Notes: The list shows the cost and effects of each spell at its different levels, the power value is the basic power of the spell, however the spell's actual power varies between characters depending on how apt they are with that type of magic and the level of their equipped weapon. The diagrams below explain the different ranges and areas:

1 3 0~1 S 15 Heal is the basic restoring spell, it replenishes a character's HP by an amount that is dependant on the level and the user's magic power.

Aura

[Aura]
1 7 0~3 M 15 Aura is an advanced healing spell that can heal multiple allies.

Antidote

[Antidote]
1 3 0~1 S - At Lv1 antidote can cure poison and paralysis, at Lv2 it can cure all of the above as well as confusion.

Blessing

[Blessing]
1 5 0~2 S 20 Blessing is a spell that only Gracia can use once he has been promoted, it either heals allies or damages enemies.

Shining

[Shining]
1 8 1~2 M 8 Shining is only available with the Besem staff (which only Gracia can use). It uses the remainder of the user's MP to deal damage to enemies.
